Ocean Recovery Helps R&B Singer, Bryan Abrams, on His First Steps Toward a Lasting Recovery

Ocean Recovery was in Los Angeles recently for a taping of the Dr. Phil show, featuring musician, Bryan Abrams. For those of you who remember the early 90s, Bryan was the lead singer of the R&B group, Color Me Badd. As the group achieved success with number one singles and Grammy nominations, Bryan began to struggle with alcohol, pills, and food, watching his relationships and mental health deteriorate in the process. Things came to a head last July, as Bryan was arrested for pushing Mark Calderon, another member of the band, onstage at a concert in New York City. After Bryan shared some of his past with Dr. Phil, our own Bryan Dunphey was there to explain Ocean Recovery’s holistic approach to treatment and offer him a chance at a new life.

We’re happy to report that Mr. Abrams accepted our treatment plan and we are proud to be a part of his journey.
