"Ocean Recovery helped save a family member of mine who would be deceased right now without them. If you are seriously committed to beginning a new life, today's the day. If you need addiction treatment, please go somewhere, even if not here. Your life may depend on it."
"Our family went through a lot and I owe them a special thanks and am grateful for all that they do each day with addiction treatment. They saved a family members life."
"When I entered into their program, I was on the fast track to prison, institutionalization, or the grave. The most likely outcome being the latter. This was in 2012. I am now completing my undergraduate degree in Business Management while working at an esteemed law firm, soon to be off to Law School. The difference is night and day, death and life, all because I followed their simple, intense, but proven program."
"The staff at Ocean Recovery was great in that they tell it like it is, and always stand by their word. I wouldn't be sober today if I didn't go through Ocean Recovery. I am forever grateful that they gave me a chance at life. Nowadays, I have amazing friends, an amazing girlfriend, my family is involved in my life, and I have a chance to become the person I had always wanted to be."

Nutritional counseling – We know that food might seem like the enemy, however we are here to help show you why that is not the case. Sherry Fixelle, our in-house nutritionist, will pair up with you to help you develop good eating habits as well as address your bad relationship with food.
We know how overwhelming it can be to even think about continuing your eating disorder/substance abuse treatment, however we encourage you to put in a call to us so we can start taking some of the burden off of you. With your determination and our dedication to help you maintain your health and sobriety, your participation in this program can be life changing.
One of the greatest benefits of the individual sessions program is that you will be able to work with your primary counselor on a weekly basis. This counselor will get to know everything about you, and will help guide you towards a successful recovery. The primary goal of these sessions is to help you uncover why you struggle with addiction and work on incorporating health coping skills into your newly recovered life.
We understand that you need more than just weekly individual therapy sessions to get all of your emotions out, so we encourage your participation is psycho-educational groups. These groups are provided so you can learn as much as possible about addiction, as well as work on your communication style. Each week these groups will focus on different topics that are related to chemical dependency and mental/physical health issues, which are designed to encourage you to share your stories, relate to others experiences and ask questions.
We want to prepare you for life outside our four walls, and by engaging in process group, you will be encouraged to set goals for yourself, reflect on those goals, take personal inventory and develop skill sets designed to help you actively hold yourself accountable for your personal goals.
We know how complicated and complex it can be to work through one or more traumatic experiences. Therefore, we have designed a program to specifically address the many consequences that result from trauma such as substance abuse, disordered eating, impulsivity, mood disturbances and other compulsive behaviors. Your trauma can cause you to subconsciously put up walls that prevent you from healing, so we are determined to help you break down those walls with many forms of therapy such as somatic therapy and EMDR.
Our relapse prevention program is geared towards preventing you from relapsing in your newly recovered life as you move forward from our program. It is here that you will work with members of our staff who will help you focus your energy on identifying your triggers and learning how to cope with them.
We know that as a result of your substance abuse or co-occurring disorder, that one of the areas in your life that likely suffered the most was the relationships with your family and/or loved ones. Through your participation in our family and relationship education group, you will begin exploring new ways of communication that will aid in the reestablishment of past relationships as well as the development of future relationships. We encourage family participation in this group so you can work directly with your loved ones to begin the overall recovery process.
We appreciate and respect our alumni community for all the effort and hard work they have put into their recovery, which is why we hold weekly meals and meetings to keep our alumni group connected to each other, as well as connected to you. We continue our love and respect for our alumni through this program and hope that you will eventually become a part of this program after your treatment is completed.
Following in our philosophy to give you the very best care possible, we at Ocean Recovery are constantly keep up with the newest and most effective forms of treatment available, which makes us one of the most cutting edge extended care programs. We know that you need more than just one-on-one counseling sessions to maintain your sobriety, which is why we work hard to provide you with a dynamic yet effective treatment process. Our treatment teams will work with you to determine a unique treatment plan based on your specific needs. Through our Multi-Dimensional Therapeutic approach (MDT), we have developed a detailed program that has proven to yield great success amongst our clients.
When you begin your treatment process with us, we will start by doing a thorough assessment and evaluation of your current state, which will not only help us get to know you, but also prepare the best form of care possible for you. This assessment and evaluation will include the following:
*Substance abuse history
*Nutritional evaluation/body image
*Relationship assessment, family dynamics and social functioning
*Emotional, behavioral and cognitive conditions
*Impact/consequences of use
*Willingness to change
We value the benefits of both individual counseling and group treatment, which is why we encourage you to participate in a little bit of both. With individual counseling, you will work hands on with many of our licensed therapists, one of which will become your primary treatment counselor. This is a great opportunity to bond with your counselor, as you will partner up to address your patterns of behavior, evaluate your goals and prepare to reintegrate back into the real world after your time spent with us.
In addition to individual counseling, you will participate in group treatment, where at least two of your therapists will be present to help guide skills development amongst the group. The skills you will be adopting will include the following:
*More effectively communicate thoughts and feelings to others
*Listen actively to others and relate to similar experiences
*Recognize self-defeating behaviors and identify consequences
*Identify individual recovery needs and develop skills to achieve goals
*Practice skills to manage uncomfortable emotions, conflict and triggers
*Build healthy relationships and provide support
By offering different educational groups for you to participate in, we can help encourage your success by helping you gain a better understanding of addiction as well as what it takes to live life in recovery. Some of the groups that you will get the opportunity to participate in will include:
